Greening Urban Logistics

As part of its commitment to significantly reduce tailpipe emissions, the European Commission is funding a number of projects that it believes can make a major contribution to achieving that goal. NextETRUCK is one such project.

NextETRUCK aims to play a pioneering role in decarbonization of vehicle fleets, via demonstrating next generation e-mobility concepts regarding tomorrow’s urban and suburban logistics for medium duty vehicles. With the commercial freight sector volume increasing towards 2050 and parallel to that the challenging European climate goals for the transport sector, immediate collective and collaborative action is necessary. NextETRUCK takes up this challenge in a 3,5 years race to minimum emissions with a consortium of 19 partners, spanning the borders of Europe and in that respect incorporating different takes to the same end result.
