The IPMHVC conference has traditionally been held every two years. The conference is applied and geared towards research into repetitive pulse energy and power modulator technologyas well as high voltage theory, components, diagnosticsand sub-systems. Specific technical issues include power conditioning and pulse shaping, high energy systems, energy storage components and devices, rotating machines and energy converters, high yield and thermal management systems, high voltage design and analysis and high-power antennas, electromagnetic propagation and primary energy systems.

The conference is sponsored by the IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society with technical co-sponsorship by the IEEE Nuclear Energy and Plasma Science and Technology Committee / Technology.
