New reference for JEMA in Medical application
Last August Jema was awarded with a new order for two High Voltage Power Supplies (HVPS) from the Belgium company IBA.These new HVPS will be used in a new machine for the production of radioisotopes (Mo-99) that will be used in the diagnose of heart disease, cancer, infection, etc.
The scope of supply is 2 HVPS, 22 kV 150 A pulsed tetrode with a maximum output power of 3.3 MW and an average power of 462 KW.
The final product is the Rhodotron® TT300 HE electron accelerators for U.S. production of the radioisotope molybdenum-99 (Mo-99), which in turn is used to produce the important diagnostic imaging radioisotope technetium-99m (Tc-99m). The Tc-99m radioisotope and Tc-99m-based radiopharmaceuticals are the most common radioisotopes used to diagnose and stage heart disease, cancer, infection, inflammation and other conditions.
This devices will be located in the state of Wisconsin , USA.
This new reference offers the possibility to JEMA to contribute in the modern medicine treatment ,improving the quality of life of thepatients.
