Launch of new chargers, ECI family
JEMA launches a new family of chargers to the market with the aim of responding to the new challenges for the electrification of the urban bus market, where JEMA has been present since 2014.
This family of chargers, which corresponds to the Mode 4, can be connected to the vehicles by hose with a Combo II connector that complies with IEC 62196-3 or by 4 or 5 pole pantograph.
This family of chargers integrates the functionality for the charging processes management and their remote monitoring. Thus, following features can be done:
- Manage the charging process for each bus of the fleet, according to operator’s requirements and the state of charge of the battery. Thus, a better overall fleet performance is achieved:
- Minimizes the contracted power from the grid
- It allows to minimize infrastructure investment, giving the possibility to charge the vehicles with a minimum power when the price of electricity is higher and allowing to charge at maximum power when the price of electricity is lower. This option extends the loading time, so it is applicable only if you have enough time.
- Allows priorization of buses according to operators schedule
- Minimizes the reactive power of the installation
- Remote real time monitoring of charging processes (web access)
- Provides an analysis of the data, making automatically a report with the most important data of the weekly charging processes.
- Sends emails with the most important alarms automatically
The main features of this family of chargers are:
- Mechanical characteristics: IP54, C5M, IK10
- Interoperable. Can charge any OEM bus according to the standards ISO 15118, DIN70121
- Modular charger (N x 50kW) up to 200kW
- OCPP 1.5 and OCPP 1.6 available for easy integration with operator´s management system
- 35% improvement in power density
- 15% improvement in life cost of the charger
- Output DC Voltage Range from 450V to 900V
- Operation range from – 20ºC to + 50ºC
- Galvanic isolation, efficiency 96%, THD<3%
